AMACOIA: A Multiagent System for Designing Flexible Assembly Lines
نویسندگان
چکیده
AMACOIA (for Approche Multi-Agents pour la COnception d’Installations d’Assemblage) is a tool for designing flexible assembly lines. Its objective is to determine the functional specifications of the constituting equipments (manipulators, fixtures, grippers, conveyors, ...) and the organisational structure (cells, workstations) for the least expensive assembly line able to assemble a product (or a family of products) within the contract cycle time. The design process is implemented by two interacting multi-agent systems. One searches through the assembly sequence space and the other searches through the assembly line space. The resulting assembly line is build by negotiation and self-organisation of the agents. Both multi-agent systems are regulated by simulated annealing to optimise the technological cost of the assembly line.

A Basic Period Approach for Solving the Economic Lot and Delivery Scheduling in Flexible Flow Lines
In this paper, the problem of lot sizing, scheduling and delivery of several items in a two-stage supply chain over a finite planning horizon is studied. Single supplier via a flexible flow line production system (FFL), produces several items and delivers them directly to an assembly facility. Based on basic period (BP) strategy, a new mixed zero-one nonlinear programming model has been develop...
متن کاملThe Finite Horizon Economic Lot Scheduling in Flexible Flow Lines
This paper addresses the common cycle multi-product lot-scheduling problem in flexible flow lines (FFL) where the product demands are deterministic and constant over a finite planning horizon. Objective is minimizing the sum of setup costs, work-in-process and final products inventory holding costs per time unite while satisfying the demands without backlogging. This problem consists of a combi...
متن کاملSolving the flexible job shop problem by hybrid metaheuristics-based multiagent model
The flexible job shop scheduling problem (FJSP) is a generalization of the classical job shop scheduling problem that allows to process operations on one machine out of a set of alternative machines. The FJSP is an NP-hard problem consisting of two sub-problems, which are the assignment and the scheduling problems. In this paper, we propose how to solve the FJSP by hybrid metaheuristics-based c...
متن کاملScheduling of Multiple Autonomous Guided Vehicles for an Assembly Line Using Minimum Cost Network Flow
This paper proposed a parallel automated assembly line system to produce multiple products having multiple autonomous guided vehicles (AGVs). Several assembly lines are configured to produce multiple products in which the technologies of machines are shared among the assembly lines when required. The transportation between the stations in an assembly line (intra assembly line) and among station...
متن کاملFinite Horizon Economic Lot and Delivery Scheduling Problem: Flexible Flow Lines with Unrelated Parallel Machines and Sequence Dependent Setups
This paper considers the economic lot and delivery scheduling problem in a two-echelon supply chains, where a single supplier produces multiple components on a flexible flow line (FFL) and delivers them directly to an assembly facility (AF). The objective is to determine a cyclic schedule that minimizes the sum of transportation, setup and inventory holding costs per unit time without shortage....
